Summary
Provides leadership, training, and direction to personnel to ensure jobs are completed according to company quality standards, client specifications, and deadlines at the lowest production cost. This role supervises assigned personnel, equipment operation, and workflow. The LDS Site Manager position is responsible for revenue less than $100,000 per month at a remote location or for managing a shift at a high-volume shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure jobs meet company quality standards, client specifications, and deadlines by effectively supervising personnel, equipment, and workflow.
- Manage production labor percentages to meet targets set by senior management.
- Maintain efficient workflow by holding direct reports accountable for quality and efficiency.
- Ensure client deadlines are consistently met.
- Oversee compliance with contracts, HR policies, and financial requirements.
- Meet training objectives and monitor employee progress and performance.
- Communicate job expectations clearly through training, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations.
- Promote employee safety by implementing safety committee recommendations and following injury management protocols.
- Address performance issues through regular coaching sessions.
- Maintain adequate staffing by interviewing, hiring, and conducting performance reviews.
- Motivate employees and recognize accomplishments promptly.
- Foster positive internal relationships through professional communication and constructive feedback.
- Lead by example to promote integrity and responsibility in the workplace.
- Complete required reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate digital expertise and adaptability to change.
- Build strong relationships between Production and Sales departments.
- Manage the shop when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of production experience.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Proficiency in standard business software applications.
- Excellent oral communication skills for presenting information in various situations.
- Ability to motivate individuals and teams through training and mentoring.
- Strong mathematical skills for business operations.
- Ability to establish effective communication and encourage open feedback.
- Office environment with normal lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
- Work assignments require interpreting and applying complex material and data.
- Minimal physical effort; occasional lifting or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Moderate dexterity for keyboard use and handling small parts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods when operating scan/copy machines.
- On-call availability 24/7 via cell phone or pager.
- Willingness to work 8-12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Ability to cope with high-stress situations for extended periods.
