Job Summary
The Lean Program Supervisor is an onsite supervisor of the Lean Program. Leading the deployment, sustainment, and education of Lean within a DC. Responsible for the execution of Lean programs by ensuring Continuous Improvement ideas are captured, completed, and monitored for aging. Assists with closing the communication loop by sharing the outcome of all Continuous Improvement activity with the site. Manage and mentor others in the Lean Captain program, Kaizen activity to improve processes and deepen team member and management understanding of Lean. Monitors the effectiveness of the Lean Program and recommends activities to drive continuous improvement recommendations.

Salary Range: $56800 - $91100 / Salaried

Job Responsibilities
- Engage Team Members and Management in Lean and the Lean Methodology. Coordinate activities to expose Team Members to Lean tools such as, the Simple Problem-Solving exercises, Gemba Walks, 5S, etc.
- Mentor the Lean Captains in the Lean Methodology and provide opportunities for inclusion in Continuous Improvement activities. Identify high performing Team Members and expand resources and support to enhance their career growth.
- Lead the DC Lean Captain Program. Schedule and lead monthly meetings for all shifts.
- Drive the Action Board Bubble Up Process. Promote Team Member and Management engagement, expedite the documented opportunities and ensure timely resolution.
- Lead the DC CoE Process Improvement Program. Serve as the DC Champion and adherence to established goals documented within the Lean DCS GPS Goals.
- Attend Tier 3 Meetings and provide Lean report outs as needed. Drive the Tier 3 Bubble Up Board and ensure of management compliance in timely completion and feedback downstream to the originator.
- Complete the quarterly Lean Self Assessments and create and manage the Action Item RACI.
- Conduct Tier Audits for adherence to the agenda, monitor Team Member engagement and provide feedback to facilitator.

Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree and experience in a lead coaching role in a distribution or production environment. OR High School diploma GED and at least 1 year of experience in a lead coaching position i.e., distribution or production environment OR High School Diploma GED and at least 1 year of experience in a Walgreens distribution center.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or in pursuit of Green Belt certification with completion within 12 months of starting the Lean Supervisor position
- Experience with Lean tools and techniques such as Kaizen, 5 Why, process mapping.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and printing worksheets.
- Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and or running a slide show.
- Experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work projects to other team members.
- Willing to travel up to at least 5% of the time for business purposes within state and out of state.
- At least 1 year of Lean experience in manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Experience in providing training and developing Lean process documentation user manuals.
- At least 1 year of Project Management experience or at least 1 year of experience leading high performing work teams
