Job Description

As a Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for kitting parts for mechanics for customer orders and installations, providing customer service by interacting with customers and coworkers for sales orders, inventory, and order verifications, and managing warehouse inventory through audits and computer systems. You will play a crucial role in tracking inventory, ordering parts, and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Kit parts for mechanics for customer orders and installations.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers and coworkers for sales orders, inventory, and order verifications.
• Manage warehouse inventory including conducting audits.
• Utilize computer systems to track inventory, order parts, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform data entry for inventory control and parts inventory.
• Handle material management including stocking, cycle counts, and retail sales.
• Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Engage in shipping and receiving activities.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of cycle counts and inventory management.
• Forklift experience with the ability to pass a forklift test.
• Proficiency in computer systems for tracking and ordering inventory.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work comfortably indoors and outdoors in a shop environment.
• Sales mindset to discuss orders with customers and upsell options.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industry knowledge in automotive and truck equipment is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a contract-to-hire position with a day shift from 7 am to 4 pm. The work environment resembles a mechanic bay, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You'll be working in both indoor and outdoor settings, requiring a flexible approach to temperature variations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
