Quality Assurance Technician - 1st Shift - Pay up to $30/hr

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and precision of machined and assembled parts. You will work primarily on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, focusing on calibrating measurement tools and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Inspect machined and assembled parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Perform routine and corrective gauge calibration across all measurement devices in the facility.
  • Update and maintain calibration logs, certificates, and tracking systems.
  • Identify out-of-tolerance gauges and coordinate timely adjustments or repairs.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable calibration schedule to prevent future backlogs.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming parts.
  • Support production teams with measurement techniques and quality standards.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/TS quality standards and company procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of quality experience
  • Gauge calibration experience
  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Detail-oriented mindset

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with CMM programming and operation
  • Familiarity with PPAP processes

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lit facility with five buildings on campus. You will be part of a team manufacturing precision hydraulic components and assemblies for the agricultural, automotive, and heavy industry markets.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $60320.00/hr.
