Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft) - Night Shift | $28-$36/hr | Wooster, OH
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems to join our team. This position operates on a night shift schedule with a 3-3-4-4 rotation from 7pm to 7am. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems in our industrial facility, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and electronic systems.
- Follow the preventative maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns and prioritize repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Inspect and maintain air compressors, cooling water systems, and extrusion press operations daily.
- Conduct minor electrical repairs such as replacing fuses, switches, solenoids, and gates.
- Assist with equipment installations and modifications to improve safety and efficiency.
- Complete work orders and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Set up and operate shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, end mills, and pipe threaders.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- 5+ years of experience in 480v electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance (60% electrical, 40% mechanical).
- Knowledge of troubleshooting PLCs (ladder logic).
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot issues.
- Must have own tools for maintenance tasks.
- Experience in preventative maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and automation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in paper/corrugated, film, vinyl, printing, and engraving industries is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
- Comfortable working in non climate-controlled environments.

Work Environment
Our facility is a mix of old and new equipment, predominantly used in the production of fabric and membrane products. You will be working in an industrial manufacturing facility that produces plastic membranes for chemical storage, industrial fabrics for military use, pool covers, truck tarps, and boats, as well as architectural fabrics for air-supported structures. Safety is a top priority, with monthly training sessions to ensure all employees are protected.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
