Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates all facility and equipment maintenance activities in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures the reliable operation of production equipment, buildings, utilities, and environmental systems while maintaining compliance with applicable aerospace and regulatory standards. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians, custodial, and facilities staff to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all facility and equipment maintenance activities in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ensure optimal operation and uptime of production equipment, building systems, utilities, and environmental systems.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and facilities personnel to ensure effective completion of maintenance tasks.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance and facilities staff to enhance technical skills and performance.
- Set clear performance standards and expectations for the maintenance team and monitor results.
- Foster a culture of ownership, safety, and reliability within the maintenance and facilities functions.
- Oversee electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate and perform troubleshooting of equipment issues, including PLC troubleshooting, to minimize downtime.
- Manage preventive maintenance activities to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned failures.
- Ensure maintenance work complies with aerospace industry requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance work and support operational goals.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong back ground in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including repair and adjustment of machinery.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in a production setting.
- Ability to perform and oversee PLC troubleshooting to resolve equipment control issues.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead maintenance technicians, custodial, and facilities staff.
- Ability to establish and enforce performance standards for maintenance and facilities teams.
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance in maintenance operations.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to train, coach, and motivate team members.
- Organizational skills to plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or other highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
- Ability to foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
- Comfort working with utilities and environmental systems in a production facility.
- Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and facility needs.

Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled aerospace manufacturing facility, providing a comfortable and stable indoor working environment. The position follows a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will work around production equipment, building systems, utilities, and environmental systems while coordinating with maintenance technicians, custodial, and facilities staff. The environment emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to aerospace and regulatory standards.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Claremore, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
