Waste Connections is seeing a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager to ensure the proper up-keep of our yellowiron fleet at our landfill in OKC!

Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate training of mechanics on shift.
- Assign, review and ensure proper completion of repair orders by all technicians, this will be done daily utilizing RTA and other tracking methods.
- Trains and assists Mechanics on methods for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.
- Work with maintenance manager to provide daily communications to operations on down trucks and operational needs.
- Work and train with maintenance manager on Waste Connections top shop program, and other compliance programs.
- Promote collaboration between and among personnel.
- Responsible to work with parts clerk daily to ensure technician needs are met.
- Communicates regularly with the District Maintenance Manager and all shop personnel, daily documented tailgates.
- Assists in monthly financial projections and annual budget responsibility will be assigned for certain lines of spending.
- Perform quality control inspection and work observations.
- Perform fleet inspections with operations team.
- Ensures adherence to the corporate safety program.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of DOT compliance requirements.
- Must have ability to motivate staff to meet corp., region, division, and district objectives.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- 5+ years mechanic experience with truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair. (Waste industry experience desired)
- Ability to train and motivate staff a must.
- Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
- Valid drivers license
