Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist
1st Shift or 2nd shift : M-F 5am-1:30pm or M-Th 3:30pm - 2am
Pay: $27.00-$28
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating standard lathe and CNC machine tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, as well as a strong understanding of shop mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate standard lathe and CNC machine tools.
- Read and understand blueprints and written specifications.
- Utilize shop mathematics effectively.
- Skillfully use machinist’s hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Shape metal bars, forgings, and castings to precise dimensions and finishes.
- Familiarize with various metals, speeds, and feeds used in machining.
- Operate machines to meet production and quality standards with maximum productivity.
- Lift 5 to 60 pounds regularly and perform tasks requiring physical flexibility.
- Stand for 40 to 60% of the time to reach parts, load/unload, and inspect parts.
Essential Skills
- At least 2-3 years of CNC Lathe experience.
- Ability to set up, operate, and edit CNC programs.
- Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
- Experience in machining and operating lathe and mill machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to walk around the plant to change machines and retrieve parts.
- Capability to see, read, and write for safety and documentation purposes.
- Effective communication with supervisors, dispatchers, and inspectors.
- Long-term memory for machine controls and functions.
- Punctuality and regular attendance to maintain manufacturing schedules.

Work Environment
This position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The role requires working the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.04 - $27.04/hr.
