Environmental Technician

Actalent Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our Oklahoma City team. This full-time role involves collaborating with scientists and engineers on various projects, including municipal solid waste landfill management, groundwater well monitoring, industrial site inspections, and handling chemical/petroleum spills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting groundwater and vapor monitoring
• Overseeing landfill gas monitoring and ensuring construction quality assurance (CQA) for landfill liners, caps, and gas systems
• Preparing detailed field notes
• Responding to emergency spills
• Performing site inspections

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Associate degree in environmental, civil, or construction-related fields
• Experience: 1+ years in a related role is a plus, but not mandatory
• Training: Completion of a 40-hour HAZWOPER training or willingness to complete it
• Skills: Strong technical, mechanical, and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, willingness to assist with emergency spill response during various hours, and ability to travel overnight for out-of-town assignments
