Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a D1 Chemical Handler, where you will work a D1 shift from Sunday to (every other) Wednesday, 6am - 6pm. In this role, you will be integral to our warehouse operations, managing chemical materials while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the warehouse while wearing a bunny suit and chemical safety PPE.
  • Follow written procedures and verbal directions accurately, including a daily flow chart that outlines rotations through different positions during the 12-hour shift.
  • Handle chemicals directly and move them about the warehouse as needed.
  • Communicate effectively within a team and follow defined processes.
  • Use pallet jacks to move large materials throughout the facility storage areas.
  • Correctly store chemicals and other materials in their designated area, ensuring all labeling processes are followed.
  • Monitor labels and expiration dates to follow all FIFO practices.
  • Uphold all safety guidelines and report any concerns to supervisors.
  • Complete all paperwork and necessary documentation correctly in a manual system, requiring strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of 'First In First Out' process for stored materials and expiration dates.
  • Comfortable working with and around chemicals for the entire shift while wearing all required safety PPE.
  • Comfortable with physical activities like walking, lifting, and moving for the majority of the shift.
  • Previous experience in a logistics or chemical handling role.
  • Team player with the ability to 'divide and conquer' tasks with peers and supervisors.
  • Proficient in computer use and ability to complete documentation for received or used materials.
  • Completed reference check with a previous lead or supervisor.

Work Environment

Work in a semiconductor manufacturing company with cleanrooms throughout the facility. While this role may not always be directly in the cleanroom, it often involves being in the loading dock or chemical storage area. Hazardous materials are present, so adherence to safety guidelines and wearing necessary cleanroom and safety PPE is mandatory. The internal areas are climate-controlled, and employees should be prepared to step outside occasionally for tasks in the loading dock.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
