Job Title: Water Resources Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Resources Project Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to engage in a hybrid role that combines project management and business development. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering. The position is based in Beaverton and involves working on a variety of projects, including low impact designs, residential subdivisions, commercial sites, roadway drainage, master planning, urban stormwater retrofits, stormwater treatment, hydraulic analyses, and flood hazard mitigation.



Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop project and client opportunities.
  • Expand the firm's water resources sector through networking events.
  • Create and manage contracts, budgets, and billings.
  • Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews on deliverables such as reports, calculations, and engineering plans.


Essential Skills

  • Experience in stormwater management design and hydrology.
  • Proficiency with design standards for jurisdictions in the Portland metro area.
  • Expertise in software including XPSWMM/XPSTORM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified Floodplain Manager credential is a bonus.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling.
  • Experience in business development activities such as conference presentations.


Work Environment

The role operates from 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break. A laptop and cell phone stipend is provided. The position involves significant business development and requires travel, offering some hybrid work flexibility. The office includes a gym and outdoor working area, promoting a strong focus on culture with various outings like game nights and ski trips. Benefits include up to 5 weeks of combined sick/pto, health, vision, and dental insurance, 9.5 holidays, a 4% 401k contribution, and end-of-year bonus/profit sharing.
