Join our team as a Cyber Security Engineer where you will be responsible for all cybersecurity-related tasks on the product and infrastructure side. As the company scales and threats evolve, you will enhance existing security frameworks, integrate new features with IT/product teams, and automate processes. Stay abreast of the latest trends and industry standards to ensure robust security measures.
Responsibilities- Enhance and manage cybersecurity frameworks on the product and infrastructure side.
- Collaborate with IT/product teams to integrate new security features.
- Automate security processes through scripting.
- Set up and manage SIEM/SOAR systems.
- Implement and operationalize security policies.
- Participate in setting up or enhancing a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Respond to cyber events with experienced insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience with both product and digital infrastructure.
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Operational experience implementing security policies.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel for SIEM/SOAR.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of OWASP standards and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
- Experience with ITAR/Export Control compliance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly valued.
- Exposure to multiple security cycles and responses to cyber events.
The position is initially on-site with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid model over time. This is a unique opportunity to become the main cybersecurity expert within the company and to significantly contribute to new security frameworks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.07 - $81.63/hr.
