Manufacturing Technician

  • Associates degree and/or military experience preferred; High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of one year production experience or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and experience with cGMP documentation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Pharma or biotech experience preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join the R&D arm of an international pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will perform current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) production of pharmaceutical Spray Dried Intermediates (SDI) and Solid Dosage Forms including tablets, capsules, and granules. You will execute process documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and facility with assistance from assigned personnel.
  • Prepare manufacturing suites and components for Production Batch Record execution.
  • Sign as a verifier on logbooks and other forms.
  • Execute Production Batch Records (PBRs) and Work Orders (WOs).
  • Work independently with experience to be a verifier on at least one line of unit operations.
  • Keep proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and gowning materials supplied in gowning suite.
  • Maintain cGMP materials inventory according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Revise SOPs and generate new SOPs when required.
  • Perform equipment qualification.
  • Clean and visually inspect processing equipment, tools, and utensils for cleanliness per the appropriate SOP and document those activities.
  • Ensure all cGMP equipment and parts are properly labeled.
  • Perform other technician responsibilities as necessary.

Work Environment

The position is located at the Bend site with exact working hours from 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime is possible but not likely. The work setting involves production of pharmaceutical dosage forms in a small-scale manufacturing suite, requiring frequent standing for up to 8 hours and the ability to lift/carry/move medium to heavy weights of 35-50 pounds.
