The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that production equipment and facility systems operate efficiently. This role involves performing preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance, preparing equipment for startup, and managing lubrication and repairs. It requires strong troubleshooting skills to address mechanical, electrical, and programming issues effectively. The position operates on a swing shift from 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the need for flexibility.
Responsibilities- Work safely at all times as a core requirement.
- Adhere to company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with team members, apply mechanical concepts, and be receptive to training and feedback.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on processing equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential failures and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Monitor machinery to minimize unplanned outages, resolve issues promptly, and seek process improvements.
- Support line startups and assist operators with equipment adjustments.
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Weld and fabricate parts or machinery as required.
- Experience as a maintenance mechanic (minimum of 2 years).
- Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, motors, and refrigeration.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of mechanical systems including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, and gearboxes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous work experience in a production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with MIG/TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication is a strong advantage.
- Forklift operation experience is desirable.
- Competence in basic math.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work varied hours.

Work EnvironmentWork in a GMP environment using equipment and systems such as variable frequency drives, pumps, motors, conveyor systems, AC/DC controls, pneumatic systems, hydraulic and electrical components, refrigeration and freezer systems, electronic and boiler controls. The role requires adherence to a professional dress code suitable for a manufacturing environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
