We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to lead and supervise our installation teams. This role involves overseeing the installation of various types of fences, including chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and farm fences. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities- Install fences such as chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and farm fences on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Utilize welder, digging equipment, bobcat, hand and power tools for installation jobs.
- Adhere to safety policies and practices, reporting any safety concerns immediately.
- Work closely with customers to address specific needs and concerns.
- Interpret and read drawings of fence specifications and materials lists.
- Load installation trucks with required materials for each job.
- Occasionally work out of town on projects, which may require overnight travel.
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, displaying excellent communication skills.
- Respectfully take direction from managers.
- Supervise the day-to-day work of Install Helpers alongside the Install Project Manager and Installation Manager.
- Plan, assign, and direct work, and assist in appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Ensure employees practice excellent safety habits, including proper lifting techniques and material handling.
- Experience as a lead on a crew of 2+ size.
- Leadership experience or qualities.
- Experience in installation, framing, carpentry, and using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand fence material specifications.
- Comfortable working overtime.
- High school diploma or GED, or three years of related experience/training.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Experience in physical work such as farm hand, construction labor, framer, or mover.
- Experience with leveling, trenching, driving, and use of hammer and nails.

Work EnvironmentThe role involves significant physical demands, including lifting over 100 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Employees must use appropriate PPE and may need to travel overnight occasionally. The work environment is usually loud, requiring employees to stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb on ladders. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
