Parts Inspector

The Inspector is responsible for applying identification markings such as ink stamps, dot-peen, labels, laser marks, or etching to parts according to manufacturing instructions, drawings, and customer specifications. The role involves verifying correct part numbers, revision levels, serial numbers, and lot traceability before marking, as well as inspecting parts before and after marking to ensure legibility, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.

• Apply identification markings to parts per manufacturing instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Verify correct part numbers, revision levels, serial numbers, and lot traceability before marking.
• Inspect parts before and after marking to ensure legibility, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
• Read shop travelers, route cards, or simple drawings to confirm correct marking requirements.
• Maintain marking equipment, inks, stamps, fixtures, and workstations.
• Record required data in production logs, ERP systems, or paper documentation.
• Follow all company quality, safety, and EHS procedures.
• Collaborate with inspectors, assemblers, and production leads to maintain workflow.

• Attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to read bill of materials to mark parts correctly
• Computer skills

• Experience in packaging, computer operation, assembly, and packing

The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you may experience variable environmental conditions such as temperature instability, atmospheric conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors, and exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
