Actalent Engineering is hiring a Quality Control Manager for a great company in Oregon City. This is a long-term job opportunity!

Job Description

The QA/QC Manager will support a family-owned fabrication shop that produces various steel products for a range of industries. They will have experience on the shop floor and will also oversee all activities and requirements of a Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:

• Manage QA/QC documentation and processes
• Complete hands-on quality control inspections and documentation
• Create and update weld procedures
• Weld inspection experience (CWI not required)
• Experience working within and managing a Quality Management System
• Manage flow and associated documentation for parts within different stages and processes (some outsourced)
• Utilize strong GD&T experience
• Manage a team of 4-6 inspectors

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Weld inspection experience (CWI not required)
• Experience writing welding procedures (highly preferred)
• Experienced in blueprint reading and layout, along with inspecting welds
• Hands-on experience various using various measuring tools including calipers, weld gauges, micrometers and completing associated documentation
• Understanding and experience of managing parts within different stages and processes
• Strong GD&T experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience managing a team of inspectors
