Pay: $22.00–$27.00/hour (OT at 1.5x)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Placement Type: Contract-to-Hire (18 weeks)
Worksite: On-site – Oregon City, OR

Role Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Specialist supports a balanced mix of inbound receiving and outbound shipping (approximately 50/50). This is a hands-on, system-driven role working closely with QA and Assembly to ensure tools and parts are accurately received, segregated, staged for kitting, and shipped in compliance with customer and country-specific requirements.
This is not a traditional warehouse role—success in this position depends on precision, organization, and attention to detail rather than speed alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming tools and parts, verifying counts, condition, and documentation
- Route all incoming items to QA for inspection and assembly readiness
- Use pick lists to segregate and stage parts for kit building
- Pick, pack, and ship orders per customer requirements
- Generate shipping, export, and compliance documentation as required
- Complete inventory transactions, adjustments, and cycle counts in the ERP system
- Coordinate with carriers and resolve shipping discrepancies
- Maintain clean, organized staging areas to prevent part mix-ups
- Support continuous improvement in accuracy, documentation, and on-time delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control
- Strong ERP experience (inventory transactions, kitting, cycle counting)
- Experience with shipping documentation and commercial invoicing
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Dexterity for handling small parts
- Ability to lift and move packages as needed
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Nice to Have
- International shipping or export documentation experience
- Assembly or small-part manufacturing experience
Work Environment
- Machine shop environment working primarily with plastics
- Standing, walking, lifting, and use of material handling equipment
- Fast-paced, quality-focused setting where accuracy is critical

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
