Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee the management of a 191-unit apartment complex. This role involves leading a dynamic team and ensuring the property meets high standards of operation and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of a 191-unit apartment complex.
- Supervise a team of five, including Leasing Consultants, a Maintenance Technician, and Janitorial staff.
- Align with the company's values-based culture and foster a positive team environment.
- Coach and develop staff, reinforcing positive behavior and identifying areas for improvement.
- Train leasing consultants and evaluate leasing performance to ensure effective operations.
- Maintain the community to high standards, resolving safety and aesthetic issues promptly.
- Build positive relations with residents and resolve conflicts while upholding company policies.
- Administer resident accounts accurately and manage accounts payable timely.
- Utilize effective time management and task prioritization for self and team.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and legal regulations.
- Evaluate property financial performance through P&L and budget variance reports.
- Administer HR payroll time-keeping and manage hiring, discipline, and recognition processes.
- Create annual property budget in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized office using standard filing systems.
- Safeguard confidential financial and identification information from applicants.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience in apartment or property management.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Basic HR skills and understanding of HR legal issues.
- Experience in accounting and finance, including AP/AR work and budgeting.
- Leasing and sales experience.
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and administrative support skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- GED or high school diploma required; additional education is a bonus.
- Experience with Yardi is highly beneficial.
- Action-oriented and capable of building a collaborative team environment.
