Job Title: Structural Engineer


Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will perform and coordinate the structural design of assigned projects under the supervision of the Project Manager. You will collaborate with BIM Designers to produce structural construction documents and draft details in REVIT. Additionally, you will assist Project Managers with construction support, including shop drawing review and responding to RFIs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design and coordination for projects.
  • Collaborate with BIM Designers to create construction documents and draft details in REVIT.
  • Assist Project Managers with construction support tasks such as shop drawing review and answering RFIs.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Autocad and REVIT.
  • Experience in structural engineering, particularly in building design.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering materials such as steel, concrete, wood, mass timber, and masonry.
  • Experience with seismic and gravity framing systems design.
  • Basic understanding of design/build codes like AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 41, and ASCE 7.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software like RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc.
  • Possession of a state-issued Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
  • Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university, preferred.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, juggling multiple tasks and projects.
  • Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication skills.
