Job Title: Helpdesk Support Specialist
Location: Hybrid – Portland, OR (occasional onsite travel required)
Pay Rate: $17–$20/hr
Contract Duration: 4 months (Mid-June to Mid-October, with potential for extension)
Job Description:
Join a small, collaborative IT support team serving a beloved Pacific Northwest hospitality group known for revitalizing historic spaces into vibrant pubs, hotels, and entertainment venues. This hybrid contract role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of IT support experience who is open to a rotating schedule and occasional onsite visits across Oregon and Washington.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 4-person helpdesk rotation
- Answer support calls and respond to emails
- Provide onsite support as needed (1–2 times per week on average; mileage and parking reimbursed). Some weeks may have no onsite visits. Trips typically take 1–2 hours.
- Support 1100–1300 users, ranging from kitchen staff to administrative personnel
- Maintain and troubleshoot approximately 400 devices (95% Windows PCs, 5% Macs)
- Handle 15–25+ support calls per day (no strict SLAs; focus is on resolving issues thoroughly)
- Support and troubleshoot 40–50 different applications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Windows 10/11 support
- POS system experience
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Active Directory and Exchange
- Experience with ticketing systems (preferably ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Work Schedule:
- Rotating shifts:
- 2 weeks: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 2 weeks: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Includes 2 weekends per month (with Monday/Tuesday off instead of Saturday/Sunday)
- Must be flexible and open to day, swing, and weekend shifts

Additional Information:
- Hybrid role with initial onsite training and shadowing (starting around July 31, but may begin earlier)

- Open to junior to mid-level candidates (2–3 years of experience preferred, but strong junior candidates will be considered)
