Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Manager or Sr Tax Manager. This role involves engaging in a variety of accounting and tax-related tasks to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to our clients. The position offers hybrid flexibility following the completion of training.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5-7+ years of public accounting tax experience (preparation, review, and accounting).
• Experience working with clients/entity – partnership returns, sales tax preparation, and financial statement reviews – 1040, 1065, and 1120.
• Experience with tax software.
• CPA/EA or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct research to address complex tax issues and develop effective client solutions.
• Assist with intermediate and advanced year-end tax planning and strategies for individuals and businesses.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sales tax rules and compliance, preparing reports as required.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships by providing accurate, proactive, and timely communication.
• Serve as a resource for junior staff, providing guidance and mentoring to build their expertise.
• Advise clients on intermediate to advanced tax and accounting issues, including business valuations.
• Use historical financial data to assess trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

This is a Permanent position based out of Salem, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
