The Incoming Quality Control Technician ensures that incoming electrical and mechanical components meet manufacturing and production standards through both dimensional and visual inspection. This role supports quality compliance, inspection reporting, and corrective action activities.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections of incoming materials per manufacturing specifications using mechanical inspection methods, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct inspections on electrical and mechanical components.
- Review drawings and specifications and recommend improvements for manufacturability, cost, and safety.
- Record, track, and report inspection results.
- Support corrective actions related to inspection findings.
- Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working order and calibration.
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Experience in quality control and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in quality inspection and visual inspection techniques.
- Experience with CMM and PC DMIS.
- Strong understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge of IPC-610, ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent Quality Management Systems.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience recommending improvements for manufacturability, cost, and safety.

The role requires maintaining inspection tools and equipment, as well as participating in Material Review Board activities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
