Job Title: Electrical Equipment Tester
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Equipment Tester with a strong background in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment. This position involves testing 600-volt battery backup enclosures to ensure their functionality and durability, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing on 600-volt batteries to assess functionality and durability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
- Build and set up electrical panels and boxes.
- Perform electrical testing, which can be taught as part of the role.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
- Potentially transition to a Level 2 role involving PLC editing and modification, depending on experience.
- Collaborate with Senior Controls Technicians and Engineers.
- Utilize any panel design experience as an added advantage.
Essential Skills
- Experience in panel building and testing of electrical equipment.
- Proficiency in schematic design and interpretation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with PLC programming and modification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in the electrical field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for documenting and reporting findings.
- Any experience in panel design is considered a plus.
Work Environment
The position is based in a new facility, offering a clean and welcoming environment with a gym and a great culture. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
