Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic III plays a pivotal role in supporting the department’s mission by performing installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery used in manufacturing and building operations. This position requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls skills to ensure the operation and safety of equipment throughout production operations and facilities systems. The role demands the ability to work independently or as part of a team, taking the lead in diagnosing and repairing assigned department equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair all assigned department equipment independently or as part of a team.
- Implement and exercise independent judgment within established guidelines for preventative maintenance tasks.
- Determine course of action needed when on-shift issues arise affecting production operations or facility safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot furnace operations using Siemens PLC.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment in a technical role.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing semi or fully automated equipment.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Ability to analyze, interpret situations, and solve problems with mechanical and electrical equipment/machinery.
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proficient use of digital multimeter (DMM) for troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing tasks and duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical training or coursework in industrial equipment engineering and troubleshooting through technical school or trade experience is highly desired.
- Equivalent combination of education/experience/knowledge may be substituted for up to 3 years’ experience.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an industrial manufacturing plant setting. The training schedule is Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The grave shift operates from 7:30 pm to 4:00 am, Monday to Friday, with the last shift ending on Saturday morning. Preference will be given to those willing to move to the grave shift, although swing shift positions are available for those not interested in night shifts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
