Job Description
The Warehouse Associate operates a sit-down forklift to load and unload products from trucks and warehouse racking, while also performing order processing tasks at a computer workstation. This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent mounting and dismounting of a forklift, careful handling of materials, and a strong commitment to safety in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload products from trucks and warehouse racking.
- Move, stage, and transport materials safely throughout warehouse aisles and designated storage areas.
- Frequently get on and off the forklift throughout the day to handle materials and complete tasks.
- Use a computer and printer at a workstation to process orders and work orders accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to order specifications.
- Wrap pallets, skids, and related materials to secure loads for storage or transport.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong safety focus while operating equipment and handling materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Proficient sit-down forklift operation for loading, unloading, and material handling.
- Experience with picking, packing, and general warehousing activities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent mounting and dismounting of a forklift.
- Strong attention to detail when handling products and processing orders.
- Basic computer skills to process orders and work orders and use a printer.
- Demonstrated safety-focused mindset in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, team-oriented group.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience with material handling equipment in addition to forklifts.
- Comfort working with order processing systems or warehouse software.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and support smooth operations.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment that is clean, quiet, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and orderly setting for daily work. You will spend significant time operating a sit-down forklift and moving around the warehouse to handle materials, as well as time at a computer workstation with a printer to process orders. The team is small and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on safety and maintaining an organized facility. Attire is typical for a warehouse setting, suitable for physical work and safe equipment operation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
