Drywall Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled estimator with 15 years of experience in construction estimation, specializing in metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and gypsum wallboard. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these materials and their application in commercial and residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for drywall and metal framing projects accurately and efficiently.
• Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project estimates align with client expectations.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates and related documentation.
• Participate in bid processes and contribute to project planning and development.

Essential Skills

• 15 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Proficiency in estimating metal stud framing and drywall hanging.
• Strong knowledge of gypsum wallboard materials and applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with light gauge steel trusses and insulation.
• Familiarity with acoustical wall panels and finishing techniques.

Work Environment

The role requires working in the office five days a week under the VP of estimating. The projects involve rough carpentry, general carpentry, finishing carpentry, general drywall, gypsum wallboard, metal stud framing, load-bearing metal stud systems, light gauge steel trusses, insulation, acoustical wall panels and ceilings, blocking, and sound sealants.
