Job Title: Production Engineer
Actalent is currently seeking a Production Engineer in Bethlehem, PA. Qualified candidates will have experience with PLC's, automation, and experience with working in a chemical manufacturing company. Please contact Jake at (610) 814-7180, or apply to this posting for immediate consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership across assigned production processes
- Monitor yield, downtime, productivity, and quality to meet operational goals
- Manage scheduling, raw material flow, and equipment utilization
- Drive cost reduction through process improvements and workflow optimization
- Lead troubleshooting, documentation, and SOP development
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Support quality investigations, CAPAs, and validation protocols
- Manage capital and maintenance projects from concept to execution
Qualifications:
- BS in Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience with batch/continuous distillation and hazardous chemicals (e.g., chlorine, HF)
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and FDA-regulated environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel; experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Minitab or Aspen preferred
Compensation:$120000
