Job Description
The End of Line Operator is responsible for completing delegated tasks and handling scrap with dedication and proficiency to ensure customer satisfaction. This hands-on position involves managing inventory, ensuring proper storage, and transferring shipments to the warehouse while complying with all legal and safety procedures. The role requires close collaboration with the Line Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage all activities and operations at the end of the line.
- Adhere to all current safety, process, and operational procedures for cutters and grinders.
- Complete paperwork and conduct end-of-line SPC tests every 30 minutes.
- Perform LT% checks every 15 minutes and make corrections if needed.
- Identify basic sheet faults and notify the appropriate personnel of any issues beyond the ordinary.
- Inform shift leader or line/operations manager of any quality and process issues.
- Perform Appendix changes, including tape, PE, barcodes, AS/AF, etc.
- Replace tape and barcodes when they run out.
- Execute length and width changes, pallet changes, and inkjet messages.
- Enter orders in SAP.
- Undertake other duties and activities as directed.
- Experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of safety practices in manufacturing and material handling.
- Ability to follow procedures and complete tasks efficiently.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or production.
- Proficiency in handling plastic manufacturing processes.

Work Environment
Join a team of 270 internal employees spread across three buildings. Work collaboratively as part of a team running a line, which is managed as an individual entity. The company is experiencing significant growth and is adding a new line to support its expansion, offering opportunities to increase responsibilities on the line.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Smithsville, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
