Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair high-speed packaging equipment. This includes working with bottle and can fillers, can seamers, labelers, date coders, and inspection systems, as well as depalletizers, rinsers, packers, palletizers, conveyors, motors, photo eyes, stop gates, sensors, and diverters.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on packaging line components such as bearings, belts, gearboxes, couplings, chain drives, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, manifolds, and lubrication systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process/product nonconformances such as loose seams, fill volume discrepancies, container pressure issues, and line jams.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for packaging assets.
- Ensure safe work practices around conveyors, rotating machinery, high voltage (480V), confined spaces, and elevated work platforms.
- Safely operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed manufacturing in food & beverage, brewery, soda, dairy, or similar facilities.
- Experience troubleshooting fillers, seamers, labelers, packers, or palletizers.
- Familiarity with sensors, photo-eyes, limit switches, VFDs, PLC I/O, and HMI alarms.
- Understanding of mechanical power transmission and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Awareness of NFPA 70E electrical safety principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in hands-on packaging line maintenance.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance effectively.

Work Environment
Work in a high-speed manufacturing setting within the food & beverage industry. The role involves shifts from Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Saturday (C12) or Wednesday through Friday, plus every other Saturday (D12). The facility is equipped with advanced machinery and adheres to high safety standards, providing all necessary tools and equipment for a safe and efficient work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Breinigsville, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
