Job Title: Aircraft Engine A&P Mechanic
Job Description
Join our team as an Aircraft Engine A&P Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and overhauling aircraft engines. You will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of engine components, ensuring that safety practices and equipment use are adhered to at all times.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble aircraft engines in the Prime Turbines Butler HSI/RP shop.
- Organize and manage work priorities, schedules, and shop output, reporting daily to the Site Manager.
- Ensure proper equipment usage and adherence to safety practices.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and special requirements with team members.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and ensure equipment is adequate.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Site Manager.
- Utilize computers and develop proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Operate hand tools, machining lathes, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.
- Lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Possess manual dexterity required for technician tasks.
- Provide own hand tools; special tooling will be supplied by the company.
Essential Skills
- A&P License
- Experience with engine repair and maintenance, particularly PT6 engines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform heavy maintenance.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Pratt & Whitney engine experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of aviation-related experience and/or training.
- Basic computer skills including email and Microsoft applications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Environment
Work in a hangar environment where safety is a priority. Participate in safety initiatives and adhere to FAA regulations and PPE compliance. The role may require working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
