Job Description

The Processor is responsible for overseeing the preparation and processing of products, ensuring quality and efficiency in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.
• Maintain logs, both paper and electronic, of materials fed into the machine.
• Operate machines to ensure products are processed for the correct run time.
• Conduct quality checks on products as they exit machines and are fed into containers.
• Mix finished products according to established formulas while monitoring production needs.
• Prepare deck set-up for daily schedule and operate equipment to aid in processing formulas.
• Use local control panels to manage additions of metered and manually weighed ingredients to mix and transfer batches.
• Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food manufacturing and food processing.
• Knowledge of processing machines and machine operation.
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP standards.
• Proficiency in quality control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Related experience in food processing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures in English.
• Mathematical skills required to verify quantities of ingredients.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented within a processing company. Employees will work around machines, and the area may be wet at times due to sanitation processes. Hearing protection is required due to the constant hum of processing machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $22.81/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chambersburg,PA.
