Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

• We are seeking dedicated environmental technicians to support municipal infrastructure projects in the greater Pittsburgh region.
• You will conduct field investigations, condition studies on municipal infrastructure, and work on surveys and field monitoring.
• Fieldwork comprises 95% of this role, with occasional overnight shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Work in confined spaces.
• Perform laboratory and field tests to monitor the environment and investigate pollution sources, including those affecting health within manholes.
• Inspect manholes to identify sewer line stoppages.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of field experience.
• Experience with manholes.
• Confined space experience.
• Knowledge of wastewater systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction and environmental science.
• Understanding of sewer systems.
• Confined space experience is advantageous.
• Experience with manholes is a plus.

Work Environment

• You will work primarily in the field, often in confined spaces alongside a teammate.
• The role involves significant travel, comprising 95% of the time.
• You will use a company vehicle and are required to wear a protective suit when entering manholes.
