Job Title: Resident Project Representative

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Resident Project Representative with a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• The ideal candidate will be open to fieldwork and eager to work on diverse projects such as sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, and site work and grading.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the client, contractor, and office engineer.
• Serve as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.
• Observe and report to ensure the work is being done according to specifications.
• Prepare daily construction reports on a tablet, documenting tasks completed and quantities of materials used.
• Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving site issues.
• Perform field observation for construction quantification for payment.

Essential Skills

• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Experience or willingness to work in field settings

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Civil or Environmental Engineering Degree
• Experience with civil engineering, land development, inspection, stormwater, and site development
• Proficiency in construction, inspection, design, civil design, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Engineering internship experience

Work Environment

• This position offers a hybrid schedule with one day per week working from home.
• The role involves being in the field for 6-18 months, depending on progress, with opportunities to transition into a designer role.
• Daily travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh is required, using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
• There is a strong emphasis on professional growth, client interaction, and gaining additional certifications, with opportunities to travel to construction sites, meet contractors, and design local projects from start to finish.
