Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our team. As a Fabricator, you will work primarily with thin gauge materials in the manufacturing process of ventilation and dust collection systems for heavy manufacturing companies. This role requires a keen ability to learn and adapt while working well within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom parts for dust collection and ventilation systems.
• Work primarily with thin gauge materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, perform layout, and tack and weld seams.
• Operate shears, press brakes, grinders, rollers, saws, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Work with customized 16 to 14 gauge sheet metal and duct work.
• Demonstrate strong tape measure skills and some blueprint experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a press operator, plasma cutter, drill, saw operator, or MIG welder.
• Prior MIG and TIG welding ability is beneficial.
• No certifications required, but a willingness to learn and take direction is crucial.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a driven and collaborative metal shop with a focus on producing unique, 'one-off' type products. The shop is new and well-maintained, providing a pleasant working atmosphere. Expect the usual noise and smell associated with welding and fabricating. We seek motivated employees willing to cross-train and help out wherever needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
