Job Description
In this role, you will handle the installation, start-up, training, and troubleshooting of a diverse array of electro-mechanical and electronic printing and coding systems. You’ll collaborate closely with internal departments and offer expert support to our customers. The position involves significant overnight travel, both domestically and occasionally internationally.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at customer locations.
- Conduct installation, acceptance testing, and validation of equipment/production lines.
- Execute preventative maintenance inspections on equipment.
- Update equipment with various programmers and utilities.
- Resolve customers’ concerns efficiently and effectively.
- Provide technical training on new equipment to customer operators, maintenance, and engineering personnel.
- Advise customers on recommended service intervals.
- Communicate with customers prior to and while onsite to determine the nature of the service/repair.
- Comply with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Attend and participate in service training when available.
- Maintain assigned tools and spare parts.
- Promptly and accurately complete all required documentation. Track time and materials for services rendered.
- Extensive travel, including overnight and international, is required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Mechanical assembly skills.
- Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of computers and computer-operated equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods.
- Associate degree, Trade School or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of electronic troubleshooting tools.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment
The Service Technician will spend some time at the plant in Dover, especially for training, but the majority of the work is done at client sites in the field. Much of the clientele is in food packaging and other packaging facilities. This environment will vary and could be hot, cold, climate-controlled or not climate-controlled. The team is comprised of 80-85 total employees.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
