Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and safety-focused Flaggers to support roadway construction and maintenance projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians by directing traffic flow around active work zones. Candidates should be alert, dependable, and able to communicate effectively in fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to maintain safe movement through work zones.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades according to company and state standards.
• Monitor road and worksite conditions and adjust traffic control patterns as needed to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public to coordinate safe operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
• Stand for extended periods and remain attentive throughout the shift, regardless of weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Steel toe boots required/composite boots that need to come above the ankle.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong situational awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional with the public.
• Prior flagging or construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Traffic Control certification (or willingness to obtain one).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eighty Four, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
