About the role:
As a Fuel Engineering Intern, you will work on high-fidelity neutronics modeling and uncertainty quantification.
You will report to the Fuels Technical manager and be located at our Etna facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.

As a Fuel Engineering Intern, you will work on high-fidelity neutronics modeling and uncertainty quantification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the fission matrix approach
- Train on reactor physics, microreactor technologies, and methods development
- Exposure to the work of other research units within the larger division
- Daily activity will consist of computer modeling and method development
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus in materials science or a related discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Experience with material properties and behavior, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical characteristics

Compensation:$57,200 / yr
