Job Title: Project Accountant
Job Description
The Project Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting project teams by managing project invoicing, payments, and job cost tracking. This includes conducting budget-to-cost comparisons and variance analysis. Collaborating closely with Project Managers, the Project Accountant is responsible for preparing and distributing subcontracts with necessary compliance documentation, tracking subcontractor compliance, reviewing insurance and bonding requirements, and preparing owner and subcontractor change orders.
Responsibilities
- Manage project invoicing and payments.
- Track job costs and conduct budget-to-cost comparisons and variance analysis.
- Prepare and distribute subcontracts with required compliance documentation.
- Track subcontractor compliance and review insurance and bonding requirements.
- Prepare owner and subcontractor change orders.
- Process subcontractor invoices and payments.
- Handle certified payroll for prevailing wage projects.
- Conduct monthly project billings and maintain accurate accounts receivable.
- Support monthly and annual close activities.
- Prepare job cost and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of billing experience
- 3+ years of experience working with change orders
- 3+ years of experience preparing subcontracts
- Experience working within the AEC industry or working as a project accountant in the manufacturing industry
- Able to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel
- Proficient within a large scale ERP such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, SAGE, JD Edwards, NetSuite, or Infor
Work Environment
This role requires working onsite in a dynamic and rapidly growing company. The work environment will involve utilizing advanced technology and software to streamline accounting processes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Jacobus, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
