Job Title: Utility Packer

Job Description

This position involves working on a packaging line to sort, bag, box, and package frozen vegetables. The role is a contract-to-hire position with an initial duration of three months.

Responsibilities

• Dump, pack, and stack frozen products.
• Pack products into specifically labeled cases.
• Inspect products to remove blemishes and any foreign material.
• Sanitize all packing lines.
• Follow all GMPs, safety, operation, and sanitation programs.
• Maintain general housekeeping practices.
• Stack products onto specific pallet types.
• Operate facility dump station as needed.
• Work in a cold and wet environment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs when required.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience.
• Production work experience.
• Proficiency in packing, sorting, and warehouse packing.
• Ability to perform quality assurance checks on each item.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-3 months of packing or production experience.

Work Environment

The production facility is wet and cold, with temperatures ranging from 35 to 40 degrees in the production area and 0 degrees in the freezer. Production workers rarely enter the freezer. Shift times are as follows: 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential work on Saturday; 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
