We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work independently to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment. This position is crucial for ensuring optimal efficiency and safety standards within our operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain machinery at optimal efficiency through effective management, preventive maintenance, problem-solving, and reporting in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
- Repair equipment after breakdowns and assist with line changeover in the bakery and packaging rooms as necessary.
- Support the baker and supervisor during the start-up of ovens.
- Work with electrical motors and drives, perform electrical troubleshooting, and weld as needed.
- Perform general preventive maintenance, including regularly scheduled lubrication and adjustments on all equipment.
- Work on daily project lists provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Follow company safety procedures per OSHA regulations and ensure quality and food safety tasks for the position.
- Industrial maintenance mechanic skills, including knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and AC/DC motors.
- Experience with industrial mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulic/pneumatic repair, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with air compressors and perform welding tasks.
- Basic knowledge of electrical (AC/DC Motors, 3-phase wiring), hydraulic/pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance.
- Basic understanding of food processing industry standards.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights of up to 30 ft.
- Adaptable to make changes quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Skills to read, write, speak, and understand sufficient English to communicate with co-workers.
- Preferred previous experience in a similar role.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a food processing plant. The work environment is clean, temperature-controlled, and requires adherence to GMP standards. You will need to wear boots, clean working clothes, and all necessary PPE. The role involves various levels of noise exposure, some heavy lifting up to 75 pounds, and moderate exposure to chemicals. Temperatures in the Oven Room can reach up to 130 degrees.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lititz, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
