Job Title: High Reach Operator
2nd & 3rd shift! $20 an hour
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage the receipt, storage, picking, loading, and distribution of building product materials both inside and outside our Distribution Center. You will operate propane or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, or similar equipment.
Responsibilities
- Transport materials to and from receiving, storage, and production areas using forklifts or other lifting devices.
- Organize products by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fulfill customer orders promptly by pulling stock and placing it on pallets for transportation to packing stations, shipping departments, or directly onto trucks.
- Track production by managing customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to meet daily goals.
- Maintain records by verifying the accuracy and quality of products received and loaded for delivery.
- Participate in annual physical inventory and product counts, ensuring accurate labeling or tagging of items.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in operating reach trucks, high reach forklifts, and cherry pickers.
- Experience in picking, loading, unloading, and using pallet jacks.
- Ability to handle repetitive motion and physical effort, moving an average of 560 units daily, each weighing around 30 pounds.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with electric pallet jacks is a plus.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manchester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
