Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR professional to step into a 6-month interim role supporting our manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a seasoned HR Director, Manager, or Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently lead core HR functions during a period of transition.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full-cycle open enrollment process, ensuring compliance and clear communication with employees.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including employee terminations, exit interviews, and documentation.
- Support and execute recruitment efforts for both hourly and salaried roles, including job postings, screening, and coordination with hiring managers.
- Maintain and optimize HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing open enrollment, onboarding, terminations, and recruiting.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, ICIMS, UKG, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with human resources systems and open enrollment processes.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment, with onsite work required from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work permitted on Monday and Friday. Occasionally, visits to the manufacturing site, located about 10 minutes from the office, may be necessary. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and the dress code is business casual.
