Job Description

The US Vaccine and Infectious Disease Market Access Insights Director is responsible for developing an integrated research plan that encompasses primary and secondary analysis to support the market access strategy for the US Vaccine and Infectious Disease Market Access organizations. This role will develop, execute and communicate data-driven and actionable insights to the company's market access leaders and stakeholders.

Individuals who will thrive in this role are motivated by developing a deep understanding of the market access environment and possess an ability to define and translate objectives and business questions into solvable pieces, drive solutioning, enable inter-connected problem solving, produce actionable insights and lead cross functional teams.

The person should be able to identify the data, analytics and research needs to define, enable, and inform vaccine and infectious disease market access and contracting strategies of our US market access leaders. The candidate should partner with other Digital Human Health (DHH) areas such as Global Market Access Insights, Business Engagement teams, Data Strategy, Data Science, Data Visualization to develop actionable insights that answer the 'so what' and 'now what' for leaders at our company. The candidate will have demonstrated consistently strong leadership skills, an ability to work independently and/or lead a team and work extensively with a larger cross-functional team. The person will be required to have a growth mindset and embody a culture of continuous learning. This role will require interfacing and collaborating with many teams. Strong communication skills are essential for a candidate to be successful in this role.

Individuals in this team should have demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead teams (direct line management as well as indirect management of individuals with a dotted reporting line). The individual will be responsible to develop the next generation of leaders within DHH by empowering a culture of empowerment, and continuous learning, have a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Individuals with prior experience leading high performing and successful teams with strong team first mindset, empathy and compassion are highly desired.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage with vaccine and infectious disease market access leaders in the US market to understand their strategic business questions and develop primary and secondary research plans to provide key insights and recommendations.
  • Be a thought leader and strategic partner for our business partners. Establish and manage close relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • The candidate should have the ability to lead agile working teams and pods, comprised of cross-functional stakeholder groups to solve Market Access questions to define, inform and enable access strategy.
  • Work with vaccine and infectious disease market access leadership to prioritize the work that needs to be done considering the capacity availability within DHH.

Education Minimum Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline required
  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Public Health, Pharmacy, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant delivery of complex market access projects in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry using market research and/or large patient or physician databases.
  • Experience could be from a similar role at a pharmaceuticals firm or at a management consulting firm. Strong understanding the pharma landscape and commercial analytics capabilities (market research, forecasting, data driven analytics, advanced analytics)
  • Experience leading diverse groups of work colleagues and positively manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to lead cross functional pods.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, ability to work independently and collaborate seamlessly
  • Professional experience in market research, applied data science and analytics, familiarity with visualization, data story telling is required.
  • Ability to understand business process and break down business questions into specific, tangible hypotheses and requirements to guide analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills with an appreciation for data oriented analytical methods.
  • Ability to operate in an unstructured environment and have strong organizational skills to create structure and clarity. Excellent organizational skills, with ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and organize/prioritize work efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Must have previous experience in Commercial analytics (market research, data analytics, business intelligence and/or forecasting).
  • The candidate should have experience building/leading successful, high performing cross functional teams.

Ideal candidate should have the flexibility to be on site 3 days a week in Upper Gwynedd, PA

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is
$169,700.00 - $267,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
