Job Description

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage clinical research projects, ensuring compliance with research protocols.
- Interact comfortably with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage patient enrollment, informed consent, chart reviews, and scheduling.
- Perform data entry and utilize electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
- Support oncology and hematology research, focusing on cancer medications and adverse event reporting using CTCAE 4.0.
- Ensure compliance with IRB and human research protection regulations.
- Work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve research goals.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of two to three years of clinical research experience.
- Experience in oncology and hematology, with a preference for experience with cancer medications.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve efficiently.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with IRB and human research protection regulations.
- Hematology experience preferred.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and located on a large campus. You will be part of the largest lymphoma team in the cancer center, consisting of 2 Project Managers, a Nurse Practitioner, 5 Clinical Research Nurses, 5 Clinical Research Coordinators, and 3 Research Assistants. The team aligns with specific Principal Investigators to support a bulk of work focused on CAR-T studies. The Cancer Center enjoys a vibrant, well-funded research base with a focus on reducing cancer incidence, mortality, and morbidity, while training future cancer researchers. The center holds over $145 million in grant funding and ranks highly in funding from the National Cancer Institute and American Cancer Society. Research excellence includes translational research, breast cancer, melanoma, hematologic malignancies, innovative clinical trials, tobacco research, developmental therapeutics, and immunobiology.
