Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated Sales Engineer responsible for the sustained growth of manufacturing product lines within a designated sales territory. This role focuses on developing the sales territory, possibly from a few existing accounts, and ensuring growth through market and industry diversity and account penetration. The successful candidate will demonstrate organizational efficiency through smart territory planning, call follow-up, and regular reporting and communication. Implementing distributor and organization sales strategies, as well as showcasing leadership and creativity, are key components of this role. Collaboration with engineers is also essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a sales territory through market diversity and account penetration.
- Demonstrate organizational efficiency with territory planning, call follow-ups, and regular reporting.
- Implement distributor and organization sales strategies.
- Showcase leadership and creativity in sales processes.
- Collaborate with engineers to meet sales goals.
- Engage in heavy cold calling using CRM tools.
- Educate manufacturing companies on product offerings.
- Work closely with a senior sales engineer for training.
- Travel occasionally to company headquarters for in-person training.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 1+ years of co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical ability and a strong sales aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial sales, particularly with piping, process, welding, or fluid systems.
- Proven record in industrial sales and market development.
- Strong sales aptitude combined with technical ability.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and travel to customer sites in Delaware, New Jersey, and Philadelphia from Tuesday to Thursday.
