Job Description
This entry-level Assembler role offers the opportunity to learn and apply core assembly skills in a clean manufacturing environment. You will work with hand and power tools, follow detailed assembly procedures, and support the production of electrical and mechanical components by reading drawings and schematics. The position requires strong attention to safety, the ability to use a computer, and a willingness to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Wear appropriate personal protective clothing as required for the work being performed.
- Learn and apply basic assembly skills and techniques standard in the industry.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics to complete assembly tasks.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble mechanical and electrical components.
- Follow step-by-step assembly procedures accurately and consistently.
- Meet daily and weekly production expectations while maintaining quality standards.
- Operate a computer and use touchscreen interfaces to access work instructions and document work.
- Participate actively in Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform wiring and panel building tasks, including control panel assembly and panel wiring, as needed.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall workplace cleanliness.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all work activities.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance to support production schedules.
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in an assembly or production environment.
- Mechanical skill set with experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Assembly experience working with mechanical and/or electrical components.
- Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use touchscreens.
- Experience or aptitude in wiring, panel building, control panel assembly, and panel wiring.
- Ability to follow detailed, step-by-step assembly procedures accurately.
- Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures consistently.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning as a team player.
- Strong punctuality and attendance record.
- Ethical and conscientious work habits with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work in English on a computer.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to push carts and storage racks as part of material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Interest in developing from entry-level assembly into testing, inspection, quality, or lead roles over time.
- Participation or familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.
- Bi-lingual communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

Work Environment
You work in a very clean manufacturing environment, primarily seated at a workstation while performing assembly tasks. The role requires frequent use of a computer and touchscreen interfaces to follow instructions and record work. You regularly use hand tools and power tools and handle components that may require pushing carts and storage racks and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. The setting emphasizes adherence to safety policies, the use of personal protective clothing, and maintaining an organized, professional workspace.

This is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
