Job Title: Stockyard Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic concrete manufacturing plant that specializes in custom work for utility companies and highway projects. The plant operates two locations in close proximity, offering a diverse range of concrete products such as storm drains, light poles, and highway rails.
Responsibilities
- Clean, prepare, and patch concrete products.
- Remove concrete products from the production area to the stockyard area.
- Comply with all applicable rules and regulations, especially safety standards.
- Operate oxy/acetylene (natural gas) equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, drills, core drills, generators, drill press, and cut-off saws.
- Understand chain charts and lift capabilities of all chains and lifting bars.
- Load and offload fleet equipment according to dispatch paperwork.
- Move truck tractor and flatbeds for proper loading.
- Operate SMV loader and boom trucks for loading and unloading.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform general housekeeping tasks.
- Ensure regular attendance as an essential function of the job.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and forklift operations.
- Experience in general labor, load rigging, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing, patching, and cleaning techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and understanding fractions.
- Ability to read tape measures and interpret blueprints.
- Physical capability to bend, climb, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Experience in concrete, construction, or landscaping.

Work Environment
The work environment is akin to an indoor construction site, characterized by its older, somewhat loud, and occasionally dark and dirty conditions. Employees will be exposed to high places and varying weather conditions, and should be prepared for physical demands such as lifting, climbing, and reaching. Steel toe boots and appropriate work attire are recommended for safety.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royersford, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
