Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Job Description

The Maintenance Lead is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities, supporting equipment reliability, and guiding technicians through safe, effective work practices. This position balances hands-on maintenance with team oversight, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Production leadership.

Pay: $25-$30 (Daylight)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support maintenance technicians on shift.
  • Assign and prioritize work orders to support production.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform and lead preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Communicate equipment status and priorities with Production leadership.
  • Support equipment startups, changeovers, and installations.
  • Enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and promote a strong safety culture.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and maintenance documentation.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a Maintenance Lead or similar role.
  • Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
  • Preventative maintenance program experience.
  • Trade school, technical certifications, or military maintenance experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes multiple facilities on one plot of land with a dedicated maintenance shop in its own building. Due to the handling of magnesium, certain safety protocols must be followed, which sometimes require being in separate buildings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saxonburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
