CNC Programmer and Operator
Job Description
The CNC Programmer and Operator will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for tooling, specifically focusing on extrusion tooling solutions. This role involves programming CNC mills and wire EDM machines to ensure precision and efficiency in tooling production. The individual will read and interpret technical drawings, select appropriate cutting tools, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for extrusion tooling solutions.
- Program CNC mills and wire EDM machines for efficient tooling production.
- Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Select appropriate cutting tools for various tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the manufacturing process.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., CAM systems, G-code).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and machinery operations.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, including PLC programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CAD systems such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in manual programming and machining techniques.
- Ability to operate lathes and other machining equipment.
- No formal degree or certifications required, entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
